Madeline Maurer
President
Madeline Maurer is a senior in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (CBE) with a minor in Engineering Entrepreneurship. She is also pursuing an Accelerated Masters in CBE. She is the current president of PEC, and formerly served as the Chair of the Professional Development Committee. Outside of PEC, Madeline simulates infiltration rates of copolymers through nanoparticle packings in the Riggleman Computational Soft Matter Lab. Previously, Madeline spent almost two years coding for a development team creating Virtual Reality Clinical Simulation Training for the Penn Department of Surgery. When her schedule allows, Madeline loves to play golf and listen to new artists.
Alex Oh
Executive Vice President
Alexandra Oh is a junior studying Artificial Intelligence and minoring in math. She is the current Executive Vice President of PEC, after being a proud member of the Academic Mentorship Committee for the past year. Outside of PEC, she is Co-Director of GEARS day for UPenn SWE, an EDAB board member, and a CIS 160 TA. Outside of school, she loves listening to music and road-tripping with her family.
Logan Brassington
Chair of Professional Development
Logan is a junior studying Computer Science. He is currently serving as the Chair of The Professional Development committee for PEC. Outside of PEC he is a member of Hack4Impact and a research assistant at the Wharton Behavioral Lab. His hobbies include running, lifting, and exploring the Philly food scene.
Chris Takoudes
Chair of Academic Mentorship
Chris is a junior studying Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics and pursuing a minor in Math. He currently serves as the VP of the Academic Mentorship committee. Outside of PEC, he’s a member of the Penn Aerospace Club DBF team and is a tutor at the Weingarten Center. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, going on long runs, and making origami.
Jake Wolfe
Co-Chair of Finance
Jake is a junior studying Mechanical Engineering and pursuing minors in Mathematics and Engineering Entrepreneurship. He is the Finance Co-Chair, alongside Caroline. Outside of PEC, he is involved in 180 Degrees Consulting and the COO for Penn Student Agencies. He loves playing basketball, mountain biking, and eating.
Hope Lane
Chair of Internal
Hope is a senior studying Systems Science and Engineering and Finance. She is the current Vice President of Internal for PEC. Outside of PEC, Hope is involved in the Society of Women Engineers and is president of Wharton Undergraduate Founders and Funders Association. In her free time, she loves to bake, play board games, run on the river trail, and do yoga.
Liz Zhang
Chair of Marketing
Liz is a junior in Bioengineering with minors in Statistics and Engineering Entrepreneurship. Liz is currently the VP of Marketing in PEC. Outside of PEC, Liz is a part of Engineering Consultants at Penn and Wharton Asia Investments. In her free time, Liz likes to explore Philly with friends!
Sam Wang
Chair of Technology
Sam is a sophomore studying Artificial Intelligence and is the Chair of Technology of PEC. Outside of PEC, Sam is an EDAB board member and does research at GRASP Lab. In his free time, he enjoys running, playing basketball, and reading. A fun fact about him is that he is a diehard Minnesota Vikings fan despite being born and raised near Philly.
